Server Rules

1.1 Language & Communication

Roleplay may be conducted in English or Estonian. Obscene, vulgar, or socially inappropriate language is prohibited unless all parties explicitly consent OOC. Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory remarks of any kind (racial, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, etc.) are strictly forbidden. Staff will assess violations on a case-by-case basis.

1.2 Streaming & Public Representation

Streaming on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, or TikTok is allowed and encouraged. Streamers must follow all server rules and represent Sunbay City Roleplay positively. Toxic or harmful behavior may result in revoked streaming privileges or removal from the community.

1.3 Impersonation & False Representation

Impersonating staff or claiming to speak on behalf of Sunbay City Roleplay is prohibited. Offering guidance is allowed; misrepresenting authority is not. Providing false information, fabricated evidence, or abusing OOC systems is strictly prohibited.

1.4 Prohibited Roleplay Topics

The following topics are strictly forbidden, including jokes or implications: Suicide (allowed only if there is a story behind it or confirmed by staff). Sexual assault or rape.

1.5 Whitelist Applications

Whitelist applications must be fully and properly completed. DMing staff or opening tickets to request WL review will result in automatic denial.

18+ emotes are only allowed for those at least 18 years old. Like rule 1.4 states, rape or any kind of sexual assault without the other player's permission is not allowed and will be punished.

Kidnapping or stealing someone's child (baby/NPC) is allowed, but must be well thought out.

If a minor remains on the server using 18+ emotes without their parents' knowledge, the server administration is not responsible for their actions.

Couples who have played through the corresponding scenario in the hospital are given the right to use the corresponding command, which allows them to have a child.

Couples who do not wish to have children of their own can adopt a child from the hospital through the appropriate scenario and necessary procedures, with the help of the relevant official at the hospital.

In this server, it is also permitted to play families, for example, someone is someone's sister/brother/mother/father, etc.

Kidnapping anyone's baby with a stroller or at gunpoint is only allowed when there is a corresponding roleplay situation. Torturing or otherwise mistreating babies and children under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited.

4.1 OOC Behavior

• Remain in-character at all times unless absolutely necessary.
• Do not go OOC to escape or end a roleplay scene.
• Issues must be handled via Discord tickets, not IC arguments.
• Using the skybox for OOC discussions during active RP is prohibited.

4.2 Combat Logging

• Disconnecting to avoid roleplay consequences is strictly prohibited.
• If disconnected due to technical issues: rejoin within 5 minutes. If unable, notify staff via ticket.

FailRP includes, but is not limited to:

• Abusing game mechanics to avoid consequences.
• Unrealistic driving (after 2–3 crashes, stop and roleplay injuries).
• Talking or acting while unconscious.
• Ignoring serious injuries (gunshots, explosions).
• Changing clothes or storing vehicles within 10 minutes after a scene.

6.1 Metagaming

Using OOC information IC (Discord, streams, chats) is prohibited.

6.2 Powergaming

Forcing outcomes or using unfair advantages is prohibited. Third-party voice communication during RP is not allowed.

Additional Rules

• Police may not identify individuals solely by voice, clothing, or vehicle.
• Characters must remain independent — no sharing items, money, or information between characters.
• Exploiting hunger/thirst or UI mechanics for advantage is prohibited.
• Visual mods must be realistic; removing foliage or terrain for advantage is considered cheating.

You must reasonably value your life in all situations.

Being outnumbered or outgunned requires compliance unless escape is realistic.

Provoking heavily armed gangs or LEOs without cause is considered NVL.

NPCs are also humans, even if they are annoying because of their non-driving skills. You have to pretend like they are also players.

Law enforcement and criminals have to value NPC lives as well, as they do with player lives.

Upon respawn, you must forget the last 30 minutes or the entire scene leading to incapacitation.

You may not return to that scene.

SD cards, robots, or drones do not retain memory.

Law Enforcement is exempt when fewer than 3 officers are on duty.

Law Enforcement may respond with +3 officers compared to criminals.

Scene hijacking or interruption is prohibited.

Aircraft may not be stolen.

Forcing bank withdrawals is prohibited.

GZ Rule applies only inside (you can wear masks, but no firearms in your hands inside the player-owned businesses). The GZ rule does not apply when things started outside of the GZ.

The following are designated safe zones:

• Hospital (only inside)
• Whitelisted or player-owned businesses
• Fire stations

EMS and SAFR personnel on duty are fully protected. This applies only if the employee is the only one on-duty.

Hostages may not assist in planning the scene.

Friendly behavior toward captors after release is considered FailRP.

NPCs can be taken hostage as well — police and law enforcement have to act like they are also civilians. Letting an NPC get killed on screen is a loss to criminals and the PD.

Law enforcement officers, EMS, and SAFR workers can be taken hostage only when there is a reason or roleplay behind it.

Illegal activities may not begin 10 minutes before or after restarts.

Players disconnected mid-scene must return to their last location.

• Staff approval is required.
• Minimum 3 active members.
• Maximum 8 members per roster.
• Hangarounds must complete a 14-day trial.
• Gang hopping is not allowed.
• Maximum 2 gangs per character lifetime.

• Whitelisted gangs: +3
• Law Enforcement: +3
• Civilian groups are capped at 6

Neutral players must not be blocked or harassed.

Gang wars require staff approval and RP justification.

A 30-minute cooldown applies between shootouts.

Hangarounds may not participate in wars.

False flagging may result in forced character death.

Gang leaders may request CK through staff.

Pocket flags are reserved for whitelisted gangs only.

Identification must be verified via MDT, ID, or fingerprints.

Robbing police or stealing police vehicles is prohibited.

Baiting officers into chases is prohibited.

Telling officers how to do their job is low-quality RP.

Police can fine you when you don't use a seatbelt.

Police can't fine you if you have a car that already has dark windows made by the manufacturer. You can use underglow under cars, but make sure it isn't as bright red or blue as police lights.

19.1 Harassment

• Harassment of any kind is prohibited.
• Slurs or hate speech result in permanent bans.
• Sexual harassment IC or OOC results in permanent bans.
• OOC messaging related to IC drama is prohibited.

19.2 Excessive Toxicity

• Disrespecting dead players.
• Body dumping.
• Unnecessary torture or griefing.

Points expire after 30 days unless permanent.

Repeat violations may result in permanent bans.

Staff decisions are final.

Ban or blacklist appeals may be submitted after 30 days.

Appeals must be submitted via Discord ticket.
